~ At the iniative of Ingrid Favelus ( class 1967 – 1974), a group of alumni of CES (Centre d’Etudes Secondaires ), met, a summer evening ( 2017). We were eight; Assemblywoman, Michaelle Solages, representing the Twenty-second District of Nassau County, graced the group with her presence.

~ In 2018, the same group of friends were joined by more alumni, at Ingrid’s, for more laughter, and great food.

~ Summer of 2019, the group grew larger, with friends who travel from Canada, Massachussetts, New Jersey, to meet in New York; this time at Harold’s (1974).

~ Winter 2020-2021, because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the group was unable to get together.

~ Summer 2020.
At the suggestion of Ghislaine Isidore ( class 1967- 1972), the group comprised of: Ingrid Favelus, Ghislaine Isidore, Linouse Lafontant ( 1967 – 1974), Harold Claude and William Clerge decided to give a purpose to those annual gatherings. The group of 5 met monthly, virtually, to put together a NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION, with the mission of helping financially deprived, high school children (intelligent and motivated), to attend school at their Alma Mater; benefiting of a solid education as well as they themselves did.
A committee were set up consisting of the five friends. Rules and Regulations were drafted. The name ADACES ( Association des Amis du Centre d’Etudes Secondaires) was retained.

~ February 26, 2021 A virtual meeting was held with a group of alumni to inform them of our goal.

~ 2022 – Spring 2023 OFFICIAL RECOGNITION by the NEW YORK State Department as AMICAL-CES as a NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION and (501)(c)(3) status was attributed by the dept. of TAXATION and FINANCES. As you noticed, our website retained the name ADACES while the name of the organization had to be changed to AMICAL-CES, at the request of NYS ( another organization already responded to that name and our website and LOGO was already created).
The NGO continues to retain the name “ADACES” to friends and supporters.

~ March 2022 upon the resignation of William Clerge, Vertulie Vincent (1966 – 1970) and Patrick Leblanc ( 1970 – 1975) became well valuable members of the committee.
